Las Vegas, NV (April 14, 2008) – Telemetrics Inc. confirms its position as the industry leader of automated camera systems with its comprehensive product array on display at NAB 2008.  Known for pioneering innovative camera control solutions, Telemetrics is again taking the lead by introducing HD capable products as well as highlighting innovative solutions for addressing broadcast, studio, economic and design challenges.

“The Telemetrics product lineup solves many of the technical challenges faced by industry professionals who are tasked with delivering a solution with improved quality while having to do so with less,” said Anthony Cuomo, Vice President and General Manager, Telemetrics, Inc.  “Our product exhibit at this year’s NAB is one of the most comprehensive lineups we’ve offered, and includes optimized solutions for integrating robotics into traditional broadcast environments.”

New to the Telemetrics portfolio and on display at the booth is the HD Fiber Link option for the Coax Link 55C Camera Control system.  Purpose-built, the new HD Fiber Link offers a convenient and cost-effective means of transmitting HD/SD SDI video over long distances from the camera to the base station.  The new product consists of a Camera Adapter Option (55C-CA-HDFL) and an HD Fiber Link Base Station (HDFL-BS). The rack-mountable HD Fiber Link Base Station is factory configured with one HD Fiber Link Receiver Card and can be expanded to house up to four Receiver Cards to operate four separate cameras.

Also new at the show is the Telescoping Camera Mount (TCM).  The new TCM is a fully servo controlled motorized camera positioning device that adds vertical positioning to pan/tilt camera movement for both fixed positioned cameras and for those used with the Telemetrics TeleGlide® Camera Trolley System.  It features a small profile that can support a 55 pound payload and has a smooth, broadcast quality telescoping speed of 2 ft/second and an acceleration speed of 1 ft/second.  Multiple mounting brackets and lengths are available and the number of stages can also be customized.

Making its North American debut at NAB is the RCP-TS Touchscreen Remote Control Panel.  Designed with a Microsoft Windows™ XP embedded operating system, the RCP-TS is feature rich. It includes touchscreen paintbox controls for many different cameras, CCUs and peripheral devices.  It has a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for camera paintbox operation and a joystick panel for camera pan, tilt, zoom, focus, iris and master pedestal control.

The Telemetrics BT-X3/Z3-BS Elevating Wall Mount System is designed for conferencing, distance learning, virtual studio and broadcast applications.  The heavy-duty belt-driven track system adds both horizontal and vertical positioning to pan and tilt camera movement using X and Z tracks that can measure up to three meters.  The track lengths and configuration are custom assembled to the customer’s specification and the system comes complete with wall, ceiling and floor mounting brackets, floor leveling feet, cable track and pan/tilt mount including the motor drive panels and motors.
