Camera Control Interface Ignites Grass Valley
Posted on Monday, April 12, 2010

Las Vegas, NV (April 12, 2010) − Telemetrics, Inc. has developed a new interface to the Grass Valley Ignite HD automated production system that allows Telemetrics’ full line of camera pan/tilt heads and robotics equipment to be controlled from within the timeline of the Grass Valley™ Ignite™ system. This makes installation and operation extremely costeffective, fast and easy.

Broadcasters and all types of operators of the Grass Valley Ignite automated production systems—which allow a single operator to run an entire multi-camera production—now have complete access to Telemetrics’ proven camera control functions directly from within their respective graphical user interface (GUI) timelines. This new capability streamlines production and improves productivity by providing quicker response times and highly accurate camera control that enables operators to do more with existing resources.

“Thanks to a new joint development agreement with Grass Valley, operators of the Ignite systems will be able to control pan, tilt and other camera functions remotely from within their timeline of the Ignite interface,” said Anthony Cuomo, Vice President and General Manager, Telemetrics, Inc. “We’ve reduced a lot of the complexity of linking the two systems together for the benefit of those looking for more creative ways to present news and other types of programming.”

Users of the Grass Valley Ignite system can now combine Telemetrics’ highly accurate camera control and robotics systems with various cameras and lenses as part of an advanced automated production system that allows users to be more creative in their video productions.

The new control interface will be demonstrated at the upcoming NAB exhibition in Las Vegas in April within the Telemetrics Booth (# C8525).
