Telemetrics Expands Lens Control Capabilities

with New Universal Lens Driver System

ULD Showcased with Sony FMW-F3 Digital Camcorder

Amsterdam, Netherlands (September 7, 2012) – At this year’s IBC, Telemetrics Inc., the industry leader in camera robotics and control systems is featuring its expanded line of control devices including the new Universal Lens Driver System. To showcase the unit’s motorized zoom, focus and iris functions, the Universal Lens Driver System is featured with the Sony PMW-F3 Super 35mm XDCAM EX Camcorder.

“The new Lens Driver System can eliminate the need for larger and more expensive HD lenses for cameras that are used in our robotic systems,” said Anthony Cuomo, Vice President and General Manager, Telemetrics Inc. “Its design is completely optimized for large format cameras and lenses, including easy configuration and TTL/RS-422 camera control data conversion.”

The Lens Driver supports three methods of control – Serial RS232/422, Ethernet IP and analog (standard broadcast lens interface) and is specially designed to perform smooth motion transitions. It is fully adjustable and easily adapted to any manufacturer’s lens and can also be used on most cameras with integral non-motorized lenses.

The Lens Controller is packaged in a small rugged aluminum enclosure with a self-lock mushroom-head fastener on the bottom side for easy mounting. The focus and zoom drive assemblies are mounted on mattebox rods.
