Torrance, CA, April 7, 2008 - Broadata Communications, Inc. (BCI) announces the release of its new 1103 series high-performance, miniature 3G HD-SDI fiber optic video transmission system, supporting the new 1080P, 3Gbps HD-SDI format. The units are designed to transport one multi-rate serial digital video signal, complying with SMPTE-424M, 3G HD-SDI, SMPTE-292M HDI, and SMPTE-259M SDI video standards, over long distance through either single mode or multimode fiber. The miniature, ruggedized, packaging measures only 0.73”x0.73”x2.83”. This allows for direct camera mounting and dense attachment to 3G HD-SDI switching equipment.
Due to the use of advanced digital fiber transmission technology, no user adjustment is required for the 1103 fiber link system, enabling quick setup and trouble-free operation. In addition, the 1103 series can transport SDI, HDI, ASI, DVB-ASI, and many other digital video formats. Dr. Freddie Lin, CEO and President of BCI stated, “The 1103 product reflects state of the art design work and is a result of customer requests to add fiber optic connectivity in their advanced 3G HD-SDI video camera, flat panel display and video matrix routers/switches, with a small footprint”.
